There have been two weeks to analyze the Super Bowl matchup between the Bengals and Rams and plenty of time to get bets in. With the game now set to take place Sunday, this is the perfect time to make the final Super Bowl LVI betting pick.
The Cincinnati Bengals are a surprise team in this game after stunning the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Cincinnati are coming into the match as the AFC North champions.
Los Angeles won the NFC West Division, and they have been a title betting favorite since the season began. The biggest postseason win for the Rams was an impressive upset over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round.
The Rams enter Super Bowl LVI as a four-point favorite.
Burrow Leading Bengals Run
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was a monster during the regular season as he threw for over 4,600 yards. Burrow did throw 14 interceptions, and he will have to take care of the ball against an aggressive defense in this game.
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and running back Joe Mixon are also going to have to play well for Cincinnati. Chase has over 1,400 receiving yards during the regular season, and Mixon scored 13 rushing touchdowns.
The Cincinnati defense has gotten better as the season has moved along, and that unit comes into this game with some momentum. Cincinnati completely shut down Patrick Mahomes in the second half of the AFC Championship Game.
Los Angeles Can Really Defend
The biggest advantage for the Rams in this game comes on the defensive side of the ball. Los Angeles has both Aaron Donald and Von Miller that can get pressure on Burrow, and that defense can be disruptive all night long.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Rams still need to win a way to run the football more consistently. You can expect the Bengals to load up the secondary in an attempt to slow down Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp.
Stafford threw for nearly 4,900 yards during the regular season, and he has played extremely well in his first season in L.A. Kupp is the best wide receiver in the NFL, and he just had 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game.
Rams Roll to Victory
There is no denying that the Bengals come into the Super Bowl with plenty of momentum, but this team also has some serious flaws. They lost seven games during the regular season. Their defense will probably struggle in the upcoming game.
Los Angeles was built for a Super Bowl run, and both sides of the football are clicking on all cylinders during the postseason. The Rams are going to put up a ton of points in this game, and that defense will find a way to get pressure on Burrow.
This postseason has been full of close games, but don’t expect that to happen in the Super Bowl. Bet the Los Angeles Rams -4.0 as the home team wins this game by more than a touchdown in Super Bowl LVI.
