DINA POWELL is the early frontrunner to replace Nikki Haley as US Ambassador to the UN.

The site’s political betting analysts have produced aggregate odds using a betting odds calculator based on the initial lines offered by British and offshore oddsmakers in the wake of Haley’s resignation and it’s Powell who has emerged as the overwhelming favourite at 3/1 (equating to a 25% chance).

A look into the details and numbers

The former Deputy National Security Advisor is responsible for 64% of wagers placed in the few hours the market has been open, ahead of current Germany Ambassador Richard Grenell, who at 4/1 is given a 20% shot at the job.

Ivanka Trump comes next at 5/1, although at the time of writing she is yet to attract a single bet, although the bookies believe she is doubly more likely to get the job than her husband, who is installed at 10/1.

Kanye West is the most attention grabbing of the outsiders at 50/1 (2% chance), ahead of his scheduled dinner with The President later this week.

How is this affecting the bookmakers?

Bookmakers are forecast to take over $100,000 worth of bets on the race, which would be a record for a political prop bet of this nature.

Take the time to read reviews of bookmakers, like the BetAmerica sports betting review, as they have quickly crunched the numbers on the runners and riders for the US Ambassador vacancy and at the moment it looks like a 5 horse race, with 2 members of the Trump family firmly in contention. However, Jarvanka find themselves a behind a pair of diplomatic thoroughbreds in the shape of Powell and Grenell.

Interest in political betting is at fever pitch levels at the moment. The oddsmakers are struggling to keep up with demand as speculators worldwide clamour to place wagers on every Whitehouse twist and turn.
